Where Did You Wander In From? (aka your site):
https://ninebows.nekoweb.org/
dropping back in to say that i'm a huge fan of your new essay on spiritual crisis, bypassing, and grounding-- i feel like there's a lack of education in spiritual communities about what makes for healthy spiritual practice, and i think you hit the nail on the head with the description of healthy practice as grounding and encouraging connection between the practitioner and their daily life. i was also a super big fan of the note about not making any sort of big life choices while in spiritual crisis; one of the best pieces of advice i was given after a very (intentionally) intense group ritual was to write down any major life changes i was thinking of making in the week or so after the ritual and review them again a month later as a way of filtering out actual self-revelations following the event from high-endorphin impulses. i know that a lot of smaller burn groups do something similar-- some of them have a "THIS IS NOT A RELIGION" banner that they put up at the entrance to their events, and i think that they by and large do a good job of bookending the intensity of their gatherings with grounding activities meant to reintegrate people back into their normal lives after the event's over. lots of cool stuff to think about.
thanks again for all that you do!

Thank you so much for dropping in again, Ari! There are many subjects that I felt needed to be touched upon (this new piece included) in order for people to continue having a healthy practice. It's why I also heavily stress honing discernment as a primary skill because it aids in preventing a lot of crises from occurring.
You're so welcome for the information and I'm happy to see you come back!
